Second House Fire of the Day

On Monday morning just before lunch time Station 47 along with Ladder Co 78 (Greenwood), Tanker Co 50 (Harrington), BLS 78 and KM8 were alerted for a reported working house fire on S. Dupont Hwy. Units went on scene to find the fire was contained to a dishwasher. Crews from Engine 47-2 and Quint 78 extinguished the fire, checked for extension and ventilated the structure. The call was cleared in about a half hour. 

Just over four hours later Station 47 was alerted for a house fire on Salandy Dr for an electrical outlet that was on fire.  The crew from Engine 47-2 investigated. All units were clear after negative findings.
