Chicken House Fire on Andrewville Rd.

On Sunday morning Station 47, Tanker Company 50(Harrington), Tanker Company 78(Greenwood), Ambulance 50 and KM8 were alerted for a chicken house fire on Andrewville Rd. Tanker Company 52(Houston) was later added to the assignment. Command 47 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the 40'x400' structure. Crews from Rescue 47 and Engine 78-4 placed two 1 3/4" handlines in service and had water on the fire shortly after arrival. Additional arriving crews assisted with interior operations, Engine 50-5 had the RIT assignment. Command 47 placed the scene under control and started to release units shortly after.
