Trailer fire on Gun and Rod Club Rd

On Friday Evening February 20th 2015 at 17:24 hours, and with temperatures in the single digits, Kent Center alerted Station 47, Station 52(Tanker Co.) Ambulance 78 and KM8 to a reported trailer fire on Gun and Rod Club Rd. Engine 47-2(Chief Williams, crew of 6) went on scene 8 minutes later and found a single wide trailer with fire showing. Crews from Engine 2, Tanker 47-3(Captain Gallo, crew of 3), and Engine 52-5 placed three hand lines in service. Two attack lines were directed one each thru the front and rear doors while the third was used underneath the trailer. The fire was knocked down and placed under control at 18:05 hours. Crews remained on scene for another hour and a half for overhaul and cleanup. FM12 from the State FMO investigated, DEC responded to control the utilities, and The Red Cross was notified to assist the occupant. 78-2 was the cover up Engine at Station 47. Units Responding; Engines 47-2, 47-4, 47-5, 52-5; Tankers 47-3, 52-7; EMS units B-78, A-52, KM8 and 78-2 for the cover-up.
