End of an Era

47-7 was retired from active service on June 12th 2025. Purchased brand new in 1972, the truck was assigned the number 47-0 and originally served as a Brush Truck for 28 years until it was replaced in the year 2000. The truck was then repainted, equipped with a generator, scene lights and a traffic control device and reassigned as 47-7. It would serve as a Light Unit/Traffic Control Unit until retired from active service after serving the community for 53 years.
