Vehicle Fire on S. Dupont Hwy.
Sun, Jan 25, 2015On Sunday January 25th at 10:54 hours Kent Center alerted Station 47 for a vehicle fire on the north bound lanes of S. Dupont Hwy. just north of Main St. Command 47 with Asst. Chief CI Legates went on scene at 10:59 hours to find a full size pickup truck fully involved. Engine 47-5 with Captain Ron Legates arrived shortly after and used their front turret nozzle and an 1 3/4" handline to make quick work of the fire. Engine 47-4 and Rescue 47 also made the response and assisted with overhaul. The incident was placed under control at 11:10 hours and all units were back in quarters by 11:26. Units responding; Command 47, Engines 47-5 and 47-4, Rescue 47.

Engine cover-up and Assist on Building fire
Fri, Jan 9, 2015On Friday morning January 9th, Station 47 was alerted for an Engine cover-up to Station 75 (Ellendale) while they were assisting Station 85 (Milton) with a building fire. Engine 47-4 made the response with Captain Ron Legates and a crew of 4. While at Station 75, Command 85 requested Engine 4 into the scene of the building fire to be used in the water shuttle operation. Engine 4 hauled 3 loads of water from the draft site before being released by Command.
